Taco Tuesday
Looking for a quick & delicious lunch in the city? For your next Taco Tuesday check out my three favourite taco joints:
Wilbur Mexicana
552 King St West
This hip yet slightly more sophisticated spot on King West is popular for serving up wide variety of Mexican fast food dishes. Their menu expands past tacos and includes shared appetizers, salads, burrito bowls, quesadillas, fajitas and bottles of Mexican cervezas. If you stop in at Wilbur Mexicana don't forget to dive into the self-serve hot sauce and salsa bar - if you're brave enough they even have ghost pepper salsa!

Seven Lives
69 Kensington Ave
This small joint in Kensington market is not only known for their friendly staff, but also for some of the best tacos in the city. $6 a taco may seem like a lot, but the quality is definitely worth the price. Known for their famous Gobernador tacos, which is topped with house-smoked tuna, grilled shrimp and cheese, you can sometimes find a line up out the door waiting for this signature dish! Owner Sean Riehl is proud to serve fresh food all made in-house (aside from the tortillas). Next time you're shopping in Kensington, stop by Seven Lives for a delicious lunch break.

La Carnita
106 John St
Compared to its two other locations, La Carnita on John St seems to have a more grown up vibe to it. In the hub of financial district, this two story joint serves up deliciously full tacos (which might not make this an ideal first date spot). Indulge in their delicious starters before mixing and matching your favourite tacos. My go-to order is to start with their famous Mexican street corn that's drizzled with crema, queso and ancho chili powder, then I dive into three different tacos - my favourite being the Carne Asada. If you're still hungry for more check out the dessert menu - offering ice cream cake from the popular soft-serve place next door, Sweet Jesus.
